Licensed in Texas since 2001, Lori Reeves is a seasoned family law attorney dedicated to providing sophisticated, strategic, and results-oriented representation in matters involving families, children, and significant life transitions. With extensive experience in family law, Lori understands that every family is unique. She takes the time to listen to her clients, understand their goals, and develop thoughtful legal strategies tailored to their individual circumstances. Her practice encompasses a broad range of family law matters including, divorce, child custody and visitation, child support, modifications, enforcement matters, termination of parental rights, adoptions, and other issues affecting families. Lori is known for her practical approach to detail and commitment to protecting her clients’ interests while keeping the well-being of the children at the forefront. She recognizes that family law cases involve more than legal issues – they often involve the most important, sensitive relationships and decisions in a person’s life.
With over 25 years of experience as an attorney and Certified Mediator, with additional certification as an Advanced Family Law Mediator since 2003 and CPS Mediator since 2022, Lori brings a wealth of knowledge, perspective, and courtroom experience to every case. Her goal is to provide knowledgeable representation, honest guidance, and steady advocacy throughout the legal process in whatever capacity she serves.
Lori is a proud descendant of the Cates family, one of the oldest families to settle Wise County. She loves that her family is an integral part of the history of Decatur and Wise County. Lori is married to Stephen Reeves, owner of Reeves Automotive. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Emma and Abby. Lori’s mother, Florence Davis O’Bryan, a native Decaturite, moved back to Decatur in 2017 to be closer to Lori and her family. Away from the office, Lori can often be found spending time with family and friends, enjoying a Texas country music concert, traveling, scrapbooking, going to a car show, or watching Abby compete at a stock show.

After being accepted to practice law by the State Bar of Texas in 2011, Bonnie Sattawhite transitioned from a law clerk to an associate attorney at Dawson Hogan, P.C., successfully producing drilling title opinions and division order opinions among advising on other oil and gas issues for various oil and gas companies. Later in 2011, she became an associate attorney at The Reeves Law Firm where she began her years’ long career in Family Law, Child Welfare Law, Estate Planning, and Probate. Throughout the years she practiced in these areas and along the way added Commercial Real Estate to her skill set.
In 2024, Bonnie made her return to The Reeves Law Firm as Senior Associate Attorney, practicing solely in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, and Real Estate. She has also been a Certified Mediator since 2012, with additional certifications for Advanced Family Law Mediator and CPS Mediator in 2019 and 2022, respectively. Bonnie provides thoughtful and experienced counsel to individuals and families seeking to protect what they have built, plan for the future, and navigate the legal complexities that arise following a divorce or the death of a loved one. She understands that it is about far more than documents – it is about protecting the people, assets, and legacy that matter the most. She works closely with clients to develop comprehensive estate plans tailored to their individual circumstances, goals, and family dynamics. Bonnie is also knowledgeable and well-versed in the construction and preparation of real estate documents to create and maintain clear title to property. She approaches each situation for her clients with careful planning, clear communication, and practical solutions to provide clients with confidence throughout the process.
Bonnie is well known and well-respected in the legal community. She currently serves as the President of the Wise, Jack, and Montague County Women’s Bar Association. Bonnie also remains active in the community by serving on the Board of Directors for Lighthouse Acres Ministries, being a member of the Decatur Lion’s Club and the Decatur Chamber of Commerce.
Bonnie loves spending time with her family, especially her fur baby, Ruby. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, participating in outdoor shotgun sports, going to concerts, and trying new restaurants.

Shelby Ivy brings over 40 years of professional experience to The Reeves Law Firm. Her professional career spans several different areas of our practice. Her career started in mortgage banking, which led to being an escrow officer in the title industry, where she gained her knowledge of real estate. The last 22 years has been spent as Senior Legal Assistant for Lori Reeves, offering practical and emotional support as a team member in many of the family law cases Lori handles. With her lengthy real estate, estate planning, and probate experience in the mortgage and title industry and as a legal assistant, she has also provided support to Bonnie since 2024.
Shelby is a Decatur, Texas native. She graduated from Decatur High School in the Class of 1984. She married a Decatur boy, Rick Ivy, in 1990. They live in Ponder, Texas raising a four-year old puppy named Daisy. They consider being Daisy’s parents a blessing. They spoil her rotten as she rules the house. Lori and Shelby share a unique relationship as they don’t just work together, but they are first cousins.
In her spare time, Shelby loves being with family, entertaining, decorating, cooking, going to the beach, reading, singing, and girls’ nights out with lifelong friends. She hopes to learn to play Mahjong one day soon. Her greatest joys are her husband and dog, and her very special nieces and nephews.
Teresa Pack has a varied background in law enforcement and bookkeeping, with a little teaching thrown in, before she joined Lori Reeves in her law practice in 2016. She graduated from New Mexico State University in 1987 with a Bachelor’s of Criminal Justice, and moved to Houston, Texas to work as an investigator with the Drug Enforcement Administration. Teresa’s unique background makes her a valuable asset to The Reeves Law Firm where she serves as Office Manager and Legal Assistant. She offers support to Lori as a legal assistant in her family law cases, drafting documents, doing investigative work, and interacting with clients as a member of their team.
After meeting in Houston and marrying, Teresa and her husband, Mike, moved to his hometown of Spearman, Texas in 2003. In 2012, Mike and Teresa, along with their daughter, Elizabeth, moved to Decatur, where they have been active and proud members of the Decatur community. They are also proud to support their Texas Aggies, including through the payment of tuition for Elizabeth to attend Texas A&M.
Outside of the office, Teresa loves spending time with Mike and Elizabeth, her extended family, and many friends. The family owns two spirited dogs, Maizie and Oscar, who are great company and keep Teresa on her toes. Teresa is a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Decatur where she lends her beautiful voice to the choir.
